General Observations

General Sir Mike Jackson retired as Britain's top soldier in 2006 after a 40-year Army career. Notoriously blunt and outspoken – when commanding the British forces in Kosovo he famously told the Pentagon that he wasn't about to start WW3 on their behalf – Sir Mike views on current conflicts and the ministers he served are always incisive and entertaining. With British troops still fighting in Afghanistan his talk, followed by a Q & A session is certain to provoke and inform.
